After a long while I finally put up a new site. This better suits the new work and mediums in which I am communicating with these days. Hope you enjoy it.
another year rolls by… seems to go faster and faster the older I get.
Funny how I look back and realize that my mom was right.
The older you get the faster it goes.
Anyway.. see everyone next year.
New site, work and life stories in the works.
Be good and keep on.
Upcoming at The Distillery Gallery:
“Phidias Gold Presents: Distillation Show”
A Custom Liquor Bottle Gallery Event
November 24 – December 29, 2011
Opening Reception: December 2, 7-10pm
Hours: Mon-Sat, 9-5
Distill: to extract the essential elements of; refine; abstract.
The Distillery Gallery has teamed-up with Phidias Gold, a locally-based premium apparel brand designed for artists by artists, to present an exhibit which exists at the intersection of product and fine art.
Phidias Gold’s Distillation Show considers the space in which it takes place by asking a group of artists to work directly on blank 1L rum bottles. The unique artwork created for this show pays homage to the Distillery building’s former life as an actual rum distillery while continuing the Distillery Gallery’s outside-of-the-box approach to art exhibits. By combining fine art, design, and product within a gallery, Phidias Gold is “extracting the essential elements of” the brand, the artists, and the space. In addition to custom rum bottles, the exhibit will feature site-specific wall installations and a “product room” which will offer a behind-the-scenes look into Phidias Gold and some of the artists involved with company.
Please join us for the opening reception on Friday, December 2nd, 7-10pm
